Los Lobos playing a medley of three songs - the Motown song "Papa Was A Rolling Stone", their own "I Can't Understand" and the Traffic song "Dear Mr Fantasy" at Knuckleheads Saloon in Kansas City, Missouri on June 29th, 2013.
06/12/03 - Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre: Bonner Springs (Kansas City), KS A lovely day turned to dark skies, lightning and a torrential downpour starting during Idlewild's set. During the set change, the first row of seats is flooded with water pouring from the upper sections. Mike comes out and tosses several shirts out to the crowd. The stage is mopped, equipment is covered and the band prepares to play as the downpour turns to steady rain and the lightning becomes less threatening. Opening with 'Release,' singing, "Oh, dear Dad, can you see us now? I am myself, like you somehow." (A large streak of lightning flashes across the sky). Ed says, "Hi, Dad." A rather powerful moment.....

Heres an old blues song 'Trouble in Mind' covered by members of the Kansas City Cryers, minus drummer who was away on the day so we mucked about n filmed this. This song was officially recorded in 1927 by Richard Jones (I think), but is said to date back earlier.
Kansas city gets down with DJ soul train.
Jamming with the one and only, Marty Friedman at The Riot Room!! This was definitively a one-in-a-million chance to play with not only one of the most influencial rock guitar players of all time, but one of my top 4 biggest influences in my life as a guitar player. Truly an unique experience! Many thanks to my cousin, Jorge Arroyo for recording this! Sorry for the audio quality. Not the best but pretty decent for something as improvised as this!
